I'm thoroughly convinced there isn't a bad angle to this car.
An Impala LTZ V6 with every option except Adaptive Cruise Control is $39,745.
Not bad for a full-size, 305hp V6 sedan with every option.
It's amazing how much a car can change in one generation. From the Hertz special to a car people actually want to buy. I've seen tons of these around already.

They really are fantastic looking cars. Such a massive improvement over the previous generation.

It's still FWD though, isn't it? Looks like a great car to me already, but if it was RWD, retaiend the exact same design, but a little lower and leaner, it would be epic.

That is a weird steering wheel...

'Tis still FWD. I don't think the Impala will ever go RWD again honestly...

I'm surprised a LaCrosse is almost exactly the same price. Not sure what I would take honestly.

Could be worse..
But I do think I've found the wheel's inspiration though:

Sooo close.

The worst chevy wheel in history though was this one:
try driving at night and knowing whats center without taking your eyes off the road.

The Chevy would be my choice going off looks.

Top one is scary happy.
Bottom one has some serious overbite going on.

You know you like grabbing those butt cheeks.

Heh, I remember these from way back when they were sold in Brazil as the Chevrolet Omega...
Not a bad car at all, specially now that it is sold with a V8, but I think I prefer the design of the Impala over the Caprice, even though the Caprice has more mechanical substance.

GM had a fetish for two-spoke wheels for a long time. See any early Saturn interior for reference.

lol, I just got it. I cant look at that wheel the same way again.

it looks like a cool design, but its stupid and unusable
![]() 06/11/2014 at 00:50 |

I'll keep hoping for lower and leaner then :p

Ahhh 90s GM interiors. Exclusively designed by the same people who brought you Little Tikes playsets. Also using the same quality plastics of course.

You're welcome.

I need to see a dropped 2014 now...
Ohmygod.

I still think I would choose the Buick for some reason.

I can't get behind the refreshed exterior for some reason. I liked the old one better.

It grew on me. My dad has a 2012, aged well.

I think everyone is overlooking its coolest feature. How many cars have suicide doors in this era?

After I just got done mocking the Impala in another post, you have to throw this in my face.
I look at the Impala as a really nice second car. It looks great, and I'm sure I wouldn't mind driving one for a few days...
Like say my wife bought one for instance (not likely, but bear with me here), I'd say "eh, it's pretty nice".
It's just certainly not something I would ever choose as MY car.
There is NO denying how much better this Impala is than the old one, though.

I wouldn't mind it.
Room for my 6'3" self to stretch out and still have someone it behind me, these things are roomy as all hell.
Plenty of power if you get the V6 model. Even if it's FWD, it isn't a performance car. I'm sure it's plenty fine to drive.
And it looks drop dead gorgeous. Something I would be able to look back at in a parking lot and put a smile on my face.

youuuuuuuu and dat booty
![]() 06/11/2014 at 03:01 |

exactly. For 40 grand, I'll take basically the same thing with rwd and 100 more horsepower. Screw silly options.

Well theres no unseeing the ass wheel now. You've ruined them for me forever.

Agreed. If it came with RWD and a lazy LS up front I'd call it perfect :)
